Ingredient
- One big chicken leg
- Mushroom (香菇,新鲜和干的都可以)
- One Chinese Date (Red) (红枣)
- Some Wolfberry or Goji Berry (枸杞)
- Half of a sweet corn (半个新鲜甜玉米)
- One Chinese Yam (山药)
- Ginger
- Sichuan peppercorn (花椒)
Steps
Preparation
- Clean everything
- Dry mushroom should be put in hot water for about 10 minutes in advance
- Cut chicken leg into small piece
- Yam into small piece
Cook
- Clear blood inside of chicken
- Put some water in a pot. When water is getting warm, put chicken leg in the water to clear blood inside. Keep heating till water is boiling for a while, then take out the chicken leg, and replace with new boiled water in the pot.
- Put in chicken again, as well as ginger, peppercorn, mushroom, date and wolfberry
- Cook for half an hour then put sweet corn in
- Cook for another half an hour then put yam in
- Small gas to cook for more half an hour or an hour
